First Snow of the Year

On Friday, it was 68° and raining. Today it’s 34° and snowing. New England weather is so unpredictable.

I’m driving especially slowly today—I do not like driving in snow.

In other news, the book I made for HRG&SP is finished! The book is a compilation of the (Almost) Complete Librettos of Gilbert and Sullivan (it leaves out Thespis and The Grand Duke because those aren’t performed by HRG&SP) with photos and other ephemera from our fifty year history. It isn’t perfect (I noticed several typos as soon as I opened up the copy that arrived Friday) but I put it together all by myself, and I’m rather proud of it. You can look at a preview of it here.

Last night I had dinner with my friends Peter and Yves, after which we delivered tea to another friend, Tyler, whose birthday we were supposed to have been celebrating, but who had come down with some sort of fever. Instead of the birthday party, we played Bookworm Adventures, a rather addictive game in which your power comes from being able to create long and complex words from a slate of letters (like Scrabble, sort of).

Just under three weeks until I’m home for Christmas!
