Alice is Wonderful

The HRG&SP board went to see Alice in Wonderland (photos here) in the Ex last night. It’s the most fun non-G&S show I’ve seen at Harvard—not an ounce of pretension in the thing. Christen came and had dinner with me in Dunster beforehand, and so many boardies went: EBK, me, BTM, CRM, CSR, CET, ABK, CLM, XWN, CEJ, RBK, and JOSH EVANS! The set was absolutely fantastic: a topsy-turvy collapsing proscenium which people entered in and out of and walked around on, red stage curtains, and fake grass in a checkerboard. I absolutely loved it. The show gave precisely the right effect: it was the HRDC recast into a dream of itself.

Afterward, Allison, Ben, Christen, Josh and I all went to Noch’s and had pizza, whereupon Josh and I recounted many wonderful board memories, and the new boardies told Josh about things that happened this year. It was fantastic.

Animation screening today!
